Monday - Fun With Mike

I spent the day with my friend Mike, 70, another High School teacher from Brooklyn who current teaches Political Science in college. Mike drove up in his 2004 Toyota .. asked what I wanted to do and I said ... "You're thinking about buying a new car, let's go." As we drove off he said, "You were reading my mind." Yup! At the VW dealership ... Mike decided on a white VW diesel station wagon. This is so not an Ellie car. I love my white Lexus SUV. A station wagon takes me back to years of carpooling when my daughters were young.

The earrings I'm wearing came from a psychic fair circa late 1980's that Mike and worked in South Hampton, Long Island. I was the psychic in the pyramid. He sold crystals ... and we laughed a lot.

Best day of the year so far ... 65° in the city and sunny

Mike and I talked about finding partners as he wants someone to share his life and I value freedom more than anything else ... in retrospect he admitted that he agreed with me and loves his freedom. Men get confused and humans are often ridiculous. Men often promise things to my female clients in the moment ... then realize they made mistake and bail. As air signs (Aquarius, Gemini) Mike feels that's one reason we value freedom. Maybe if the right man comes along I'll reconsider, but don't bet on it. We have a better shot at the Large Hadron Collider opening a black hole to close the hologram ... Hey ... you never know.

Dinner with Mike ... oldies music ... then back home.

Easter Sunday in Manhattan

My friend Clell picked me up in a "Car2Go" so we could park anywhere.

The car is small but is very comfy inside. Bad shocks on the winter-torn streets though.

Once in the city we picked up a passenger - Clell's friend Alex as we headed off to the Easter Parade.

It reminded me of a clown car as we headed uptown without anyone paying attention. You have to love NY.

There were hundreds of people wearing crazy hats and costumes.

Gothic look. Thought it was a guy in drag but she was a woman.

This was a great hat though she had trouble keeping it balanced.

From there we headed uptown to visit my friends Marion and Chuck in the Dakota.

With a car that small were were able to park on Central Park West near their apartment building.

Marion and I have been friends since our teens and taught High School in Brooklyn.
We are both involved in media.

Clell is an actor but also has a day job in Real Estate working with Alex who goes to Law School.

Many people are programed to believe that without drama life will be boring.
It never is for me and my friends. The next adventure is always just around the corner.

Easter Sunday 2015

Saturday a client named Fred, a retired school high school teacher from my area, asked "Why do you mention in your biography that you are Jewish if you are not into religion?" Good question.

Initially, it was about the fate of the "nice Jewish girl from Brooklyn" and more of a Jewish schtick. As I reflect back on my 6 years of Hebrew School as a child, it is more about the Hebrew bloodline and destiny. After Fred left I spent the rest of the day watching The Dovekeepers Miniseries which I never expected to like ... and yet there was this strange connection I felt to the storyline and Masada. I feel no need to visit the fortress nor that I may or may not have experienced there ... it was about the storyteller ... Titus Flavius Josephus who recorded Jewish history ... and this is where I come in. The main male protagonist was Eleazar. The main female protagonist is Shirah (like Sarah) who had psychic powers. Remember... it's all just a story ... projected illusion on the screen created by the storyteller replete with the full gamut of human emotions.

At 6:15 this morning, I caught a glimpse of the unfolding eclipse. There was the pink-red moon disappearing ... cumulous clouds floating by making it appear as if it was stretched on the left side. Something flew past ... maybe a plane or a bird ... no not Superman or ET. It happened too fast to get a picture. Speaking of ET ... Happy Birthday Michelle, who's celebrating by hosting a Sasquatch Seminar and Field Trip in VA. presenting speaker Kewaunee Lapseritis. They believe Sasquatch are interdimensional beings going along with ancient alien theory. I'm open to anything but still await the day we have physical proof if that ever happens.

I started paying attention to the behind the scenes business end of audio and video streaming two weeks ago after watching the season finale of Empire. It's about money, power, recognition, and artists controlling their creative projects. It took me back to my rock and roll years in the 1950s and 60s when performers got ripped off by just about everyone. I knew many of the performers then, but today only know what I read - yet I still see it as the same pattern with new players.

This all leads to understanding the nature of reality as "streaming" audio-video playing out the same dramas as we consciously and vicariously experience in 3D. Tech Age - Tech World - Seeing the Parallels - Let's write a song with those titles. Be cool ... grab your crotch (creation) ... have fun ...
