The first story I saw on the morning news was about the Statue of Liberty just around the bend as I look out at the ocean. Lady Liberty went dark last night - the symbolism not lost on Americans. (It was allegedly a power outage, but aslways these days we question if there was something else going on.) Women, like other minorities, and souls in general, will no longer remain in the dark.
Today is labeled a Day Without a Woman a general strike that coincides with International Women's Day - by the organizers of the 2017 Women's March on Washington. The strike asks women to not work that day to protest Trump administration policy though many women will be at work - making a difference such as the women in Congress and my daughter Zsia who again addresses women in business many of whom are well known.
