Lunch outdoors with Lady Liberty watching
These earrings were a gift from a Crystalinks reader named Tracey in Washington State. She designed them based on the chakras, using my file as her color reference. When I received them Friday, my first thought was that June is Gay Pride Month.
Issues and a personal look at who you are...
Are you happier giving or receiving?
When friends and family have success, are you happy for them or jealous?
What do you hope to achieve this summer?
June brings concerts, festivals, weddings, reunions, proms, graduations, and thoughts about the future through tears/years of joy and sorrow. Enjoy! (See calendar above for more)
June opens with the every-day dramas people face plus whatever comes along based on the categories that define our reality.
The corporate world, among other industries, is falling apart because they need to be revised as workers burn out and recent college graduates step in to replace them at lower pay. With warm weather coming everyone feels they need a vacation ... make that a permanent one! It's all about Freedom!
Friends who own homes in the Hamptons are not at all thrilled that the Kardashians will be out there this summer and have opened a store as part of their reality series. Good luck with that! These two brands simply do not mix. What kind of world do we live where people with no talent get so much attention and make so much money.
What's next? "The Long Island psychic meets the Kardashians"? Will she channel daddy, Robert Kardashian?
June will be a great month of sports. Here in the city the Rangers compete for the Stanley Cup.
Over at Belmont Race Track in Queens, my favorite horse California Chrome, has the opportunity to win the Triple Crown next Saturday.
Since 1919, when Sir Barton became the first horse to win the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes, only 11 horses have won racing's most prestigious prize, the Triple Crown. Affirmed, in 1978, was the last horse to achieve the remarkable feat of winning all three races, at three different distances, at three different tracks, in the space of five weeks. The current 32-year gap between Triple Crown winners is the longest drought in the series' history; in 1973 Secretariat ended a 25-year hiatus dating back to Citation's 1948 triumph. In all, 21 horses, including seven in the past 13 years, have come into the Belmont Stakes with victories in the Derby and Preakness winners, only to fall short in the 1 1/2 mile "Test of the Champion."

The LA Clippers will be sold. Let's hope that's the end of the Donald Sterling saga.
It's all about Freedom!
He is now in Germany.
His reintegration process will include time for him to tell his story, decompress,
and to reconnect with his family through telephone calls and video conferences.
