More snow coming!

Friday morning ... it just warmed up to 15 degrees. Lots of clients braving the cold to come here over the next three days. A man named Danny, in his 30's, who died on 9/11, came to visit me this morning. I will let you know later if he has any connection with today's clients who I never read before.

In the energies of the New Moon ...

Ukraine is a country in Eastern Europe. It has an interesting history, tied to relatives on my mother's side I never met, as they died during World War II. I have many clients from the Ukraine, who seem drawn to me. I often think we're connected in the grids somewhere in another part of reality.

The country is home to 44.6 million people. As of 2011, it was the world's third-largest grain exporter. Human settlement in Ukraine and its vicinity dates back to 32,000 BC, with evidence of the Gravettian culture in the Crimean Mountains. By 4,500 BCE, the Neolithic Cucuteni-Trypillian Culture flourished in a wide area that included parts of modern Ukraine including Trypillia and the entire Dnieper-Dniester region. During the Iron Age, the land was inhabited by Cimmerians, Scythians, and Sarmatians. Between 700 BC and 200 BC it was part of the Scythian Kingdom, or Scythia. Later, colonies of Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome and the Byzantine Empire, such as Tyras, Olbia and Hermonassa, were founded, beginning in the 6th century BC, on the northeastern shore of the Black Sea, and thrived well into the 6th century AD. The Goths stayed in the area but came under the sway of the Huns from the 370s AD. In the 7th century AD, the territory of eastern Ukraine was the centre of Old Great Bulgaria. At the end of the century, the majority of Bulgar tribes migrated in different directions, and the Khazars took over much of the land.

Mummy Index

Friday - another mummy discovery in the news today - this time in China. Thursday was an interesting day. It all started when I went to archive an article on a Peruvian mummy discovery. I knew I had been putting off creating a Directory, and individual files about Mummies, but the information got out of control. It took 10 hours to create the files with new text, images, updated stories, video, and more. To me this is not a chore, I just needed to find the time to do it. It feels great to be done as I learned a few things along the way. Of course we all know how to prepare a mummy for burial ... as visions of ancient Egypt once again come to mind. There's Daniel Jackson using the sarcophagus to resurrect himself again ... and again ... and again. And then there's aliens ...

I particularly like the North American mummy pictured above. He's called the San Pedro Mountains Mummy. He stood 4 feet tall and was discovered in June 1934 by two gold prospectors in the Pedro Mountains approximately 60 miles southwest of Casper, Wyoming. He apparently is thousands of years old, or just an interesting insert in the hologram. Some people believe he from the race of Little People of American Indian folklore. He brings to mind grey aliens, especially since he suddenly vanished never to be seen again. Haven't we seen this plot on X-Files, or other shows about aliens? Does the government have him? Doubtful.

I thought he looked a bit like a frog which always takes us to biogenetics. I looked at his eyes and thought ... frogs ... grays ... eyes ... it's always about eye metaphors. On further inspection, he looks like the Anunnaki depicted here ... but they have a reptilian base and are very tall. Why I am so sure he's male? No matter ... at the end of the day it's all the same legends, patterns, and depictions.

Withdrawing All US Troops
From Afghanistan

Wednesday, February 26, 2014

When I heard the story on the news this morning, I quickly went to CNN to see if it was true. This would truly be a cause to celebrate. It is costing us so much in money and lives to keep troops out of country that as I said in my 2014 New Year's message ... bring them all home. Let's hope this is the case. We have been in Afghanistan's since 2001 - time to come home. War in Afghanistan goes back to Alexander the Great (330 BCE-327 BCE).

No bluff: U.S. planning possible withdrawal of all troops from Afghanistan   CNN - February 26, 2014
We're not bluffing, the Obama administration told Afghanistan on Tuesday in announcing for the first time it has started planning for the possible withdrawal of all U.S. troops by the end of the year if no security agreement is signed. Statements by the White House and Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel showed President Barack Obama's impatience with Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai's refusal to sign the agreement that would keep several thousand American troops in the country after combat operations conclude this year.

Egypt - "Desert Breath"

In my head I heard the theme from the film Stargate as I started this blog, so I decided to add it as a backdrop. Stargate takes us to the original Daniel Jackson portrayed by actor James Spader who gave another brilliant performance last night in the TV series Blacklist.

Let's segue over to Egypt where once again there's a change in government. Sherif emailed this morning that this is a step in the right direction towards democracy in his country. I hope he's right. The question remains ... Will the Middle East, home of Chapter 1 of our story, ever find peace? For some reason I feel they are not programmed to.

Let's move out into the Egyptian desert ... in the metaphoric sands of time ... where above meets below and somebody created a Julia fractal or spiral motif (spirals of consciousness). Do not believe that it is linked to ancient alien theory, because it's not.

The giant desert spiral is actually an art installation and just as with crop circles found around the world, the hologram put the concept into the minds of the landscape artists. These are all messages and metaphors set into physical reality to trigger the memory that reality is a simulation. To stand at the center of their creation, makes one feel is if they are spiraling into another reality, especially in Egypt where the energies run so high. You have to be there to fully experience it ... and as always it's based on your personal programming and grid.

Photos: Giant Spiral Grows Out of Egypt's Desert   Live Science - February 25, 2014

Danae Stratou, Alexandra Stratou and Stella Constantinides worked as a team to design and build the enormous 1,076 square foot (100 square meters) piece of artwork - called Desert Breath - to celebrate "the desert as a state of mind, a landscape of the mind," as stated on the artists' website. The art installation lies in the desolate reaches of the Egyptian desert, just a short distance from the shores of the Red Sea. And it's been baffling tourists and armchair travelers since it was constructed in March 1997.

Off planet -- one planet -- in duality there will always be the fight for freedom. FADE TO BLACK.

Injuries

This is been a long winter of injuries. Not for me, personally, but everywhere I look. Did you slip and fall? Some of the injuries people tell me about occurred prior to the winter, but many of happened over the past few months. Some have temporary effects, while other are long lasting requiring surgeries and eventually resulting in arthritis.

As the first snowfall begins each winter, I have the same visual of orthopedists and chiropractors telling their families, "Have a nice winter. I won't be home again until the spring," followed by the sound of a cash register. Walk-in medical centers are also filled with people who fell on the snow and ice.

How do injuries occur?

Weather. The severe weather has caused people to slip and slide mostly due to ice under the snowy layers - or black ice.

Sports. Accidents occurred at the Olympics and for others around the world who enjoy winter sports.

Exercise. Exercise makes us feel good, but overdoing it - especially over the course of many years - can cause the breakdown of knees, hips, back, and more. Hip and knee replacements are becoming far more common among young people today. Look at it this way ... any part of your body that gets abused ... is going to break down and fail.

Job. If you stand on your feet all day, it will definitely affect limbs and back.

Remember that the winter isn't over until it's over. There's more snow arriving in the city on Wednesday, so please be careful. For New York City residents, whose cars were buried under piles of snow, alternate side parking rules go back into effect today after 22 days ... which just happens to coincide with Mercury Retrograde. Speaking of Mercury Retrograde, injuries that occurred this February, will come back to haunt you.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. Birthdays and Synchronicities

Saturday was a beautiful day in Brooklyn. I celebrated my birthday at a local restaurant with friends from upstate New York. So many laughs ... Along the way I noticed another woman having a birthday party at a nearby table. Curiosity would eventually get the better of me so I went over to wish her a happy birthday explaining that it was my birthday as well. Then she said, "Today is not my real birthday ... it was February 17 ... to which I laughed and expressed the same. And guess how old she was? You got it ... 71. She asked if I lived in Bay Ridge. I told her I came from Manhattan Beach, now living in Bay Ridge. She had spent most of her life in Bay Ridge and now lives in Manhattan. This is a good case of synchronistic grids in action.

2014 Winter Olympics - Closings

Sochi 2014 Website

The closing ceremonies are tonight.

15 most memorable moments of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi
CNN - February 23, 2014

I watched the highlights in the news followed by interviews with gold medal winners. What I basically observed were a lot of young attractive athletes competing for the gold, but more than that, the fame and glory that follows. At some point it was almost like watching a staged reality show. All of the athletes have worked hard to reach this pinnacle of success for which they have been programmed.

From Arianna Huffington -- Tonight's closing ceremony marks the end of the 2014 Winter Olympics. From Bode Miller's tears to Kate Hansen's dance moves; from America's first Ice Dancing gold to Bob Costas's gold medal in freestyle pink eye; from Adelina Sotnikova's stunning win to Shaun White's even more stunning failure; from Olympic rings that failed to light to abandoned speed skating suits, the Sochi Games delivered a host of indelible memories and their fair share of controversial decisions. There was also controversy beyond the competition, including members of Pussy Riot being whipped by angry Cossacks and protests over Russia's anti-gay laws. Of course, from Jesse Owens foiling Hitler in 1936, to the Munich massacre in 1972, to dueling boycotts in 1980 and 1984, the Olympics have never been devoid of politics. Indeed, it's the collective attention they bring to both the best and worst of humanity that captures the public imagination.

Weekend Highlights

Gold medalist Maddie Bowman of the United States (funny)

The Winter Olympics are coming to a close - usually the best time to cheer your country on if they are competing. As of this morning, team USA is out in front. Closing ceremonies will also be spectacular on Sunday ... next Sunday (March 2) highlighted by the 86th Academy Awards hosted by Ellen. I've seen enough of Vladimir Putin for this lifetime.

You may have watched most, or some, of the Olympic events. I watched the highlights in the news followed by interviews with gold medal winners. On a personal note, the sun is shining in Brooklyn with temperatures in the 50s (smile). Friends are coming from upstate New York to spend the day - another birthday celebration. With winter returning in a few days this is a perfect break. A New York Frame of Mind

Friday morning ... It's back to cloudy, overcast, with some light drizzle, but at least there's no snow. As I look out most of the snow is melted here in Bay Ridge. There's always tomorrow ... sunny in the 50s. New York Today: Winter Interruptus   New York Times - February 21, 2014 -- Cute article about things in and around the city today.

Did you know ...

Jimmy Fallon was born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Juniors, a famous restaurant in Brooklyn ... like forever ... has been sold. A closed Staten island prison is going to become a film lot. Someone is building toilets in Manhattan that will cost you eight dollars for use. You know what most men will resort to again, don't you? No more happy endings in Bay Ridge ... they closed the Bay Ridge massage parlor on 5th Avenue. Pres. Obama is pictured in one of these articles. Which one do you think it is?

I've really enjoyed Jimmy Fallon as host of The Tonight Show. I record and watch the shows the next day. I look forward to seeing Michelle Obama on Thursday night's show.
Bay Ridge-born Jimmy Fallon takes over The Tonight Show   Brooklyn Eagle - February 20, 2014

Bay Ridge residents had a special reason to watch Jimmy Fallon's debut as host of The Tonight Show on NBC Monday night. Fallon is a native son. The former star of "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" and Saturday Night Live was born in Bay Ridge, according to the New York Daily News, which reported that the comedian's family moved to Saugerties, New York. Fallon grew up in that upstate community.

Junior's selling flagship location in Brooklyn   NY Daily News - February 20, 2014
Junior's plans to sell its downtown home, clearing the way for a new condo building with a really sweet perk - easy access to top-flight desserts. The iconic eatery is expected to move out of its 17,000-square-foot flagship following the sale, but believes it can negotiate a deal to return as a tenant and open a new restaurant on the ground floor.

Former Staten Island prison to become a film lot   NY Post - February 20, 2014
The big house is ready for its close-up. A Brooklyn-based studio will convert a defunct Staten Island prison into a sprawling film and TV production complex - which will become the country's second largest outside of Hollywood. Greenpoint's Broadway Stages won a bid from the state to buy the former Arthur Kill Correctional Facility for $7 million and spend $20 million to build five sound stages with 100,000 square feet of studio space on the 69-acre site.

'Happy Ending' for Bay Ridge massage parlor site?   Brooklyn Eagle - February 20, 2014
Surely the new tenant at 7811 Fifth Ave. will be more respectable than Shirley Day Spa. The now-closed massage parlor gained notoriety last summer when the owner and two workers were arrested in a crackdown on alleged prostitution at a dozen Bay Ridge salons.

Memos About Life ...

What used to take a lifetime to experience, now takes a decade, or a year, or a month, or a week, or a single experience ...

The weather finally warmed up in the city today, temperatures in the 40s. With that we find both positives and negatives as usual. On the upside, yesterday's rain washed away much of the snow leaving the streets passable and pedestrians finally able to get around, especially the disabled and moms pushing baby carriages. Today is definitely a well needed breath of fresh air in the middle of one of the worst winters on record. On the downside ... between the freezing and the thawing ... that pattern repeating most of the winter ... there are many deep and dangerous potholes ... which could eventually turn into sinkholes ... so both drivers and pedestrians should be careful. Then there's the flooding that will come now that the snow is starting to melt.

I've heard some crazy stories this winter about ice. One client in New Jersey got into her car to go to work only to discover that her tires were frozen to the ground. Another woman went to the beauty salon - had her hair colored and cut - but didn't have enough time to have it blown dry. She put on her coat and hood and ran to her car parked just outside the salon. When she pushed back the hood - her hair had frozen icicles hanging from it. And the stories go on and on.

Money

One of the markets that's starting to move now, is the real estate market. I wouldn't have expected it to start up quite this early in the season, especially with the weather, but it seems that things are getting busy. People are still looking for foreclosures to renovate and roll over. If you know how to "work it" in the real estate market you could make an investment and live off of the profits. There's nothing new about that. This is not a bad time to invest if you can get a really great bargain and you know someone who can modernize an old building reasonably.

I don't really follow the stock market - it's simply not my thing. I know that men love to involve with the stock market - often like a game or as a means of getting income without having to work. Whatever works ... successfully.

No matter how you look at it ... souls can no longer be suppressed ... existing in meaningless endeavors they call their daily lives. They want freedom and opportunity in career and life. New generations, old generations and those of us in between ... know it's all going somewhere ... the momentum accelerating as we come to a place we know we can be free.

In this subroutine of the hologram, humans are programmed to understand that with each passing year, we are programmed to be both rich and poor in all aspects of our lives, and that anything can and will change in an instant. You can be successful in business and love one day - and lose it all the next. You have to be adaptable and go with the flow not with your ego, even when life makes no sense.

You tend to "feel" that there is a balance to the scales ... the checks and balances of life that are going to make it all worth the effort ... sadly that may not be the case in your end time programming. You also have to be strong enough to rebuild in the world with the word "build" has different meanings than when you were younger, as societies and economies change. You often have to reinvent yourself and you don't even realize it at first, or until it's too late. The past is done, recorded, and right now means nothing in the bigger picture of your experience here.

All of this may sound confusing, but for some reason I think humanity is supposed to be confused and unfocused at this time, perhaps to disconnect at the end. Your patience will be tested to the max in whatever time remains. Hold-fast to your believe systems unless they are antiquated, then once questioned and doubted, quickly let them go.

Plan your finances realistically - for any contingency that may occur. Do not take on the responsibility of someone else's life because you will probably wind up being disappointed.

Whatever Moves You In End Times

Our brains go along ... often aimlessly in the streaming projections of consciousness. Suddenly there is a spike in the grids/timelines that catches our attention ... as if awaking us from sleep-state to focus on something that is significant to our purpose here. We pay attention because we are programmed to know that something major is going to happen very soon. This week we experienced ... another earthquake in the Puerto Rico trench, a CME, and the adventures of a media crew and German conspiracy theorists who tried to unlock the secrets of the Great Pyramid only to find themselves in trouble.

An analysis of Einstein's 1931 paper featuring a dynamic model of the universe   PhysOrg - February 19, 2014
A paper published in the European Physical Journal H provides the first English translation and an analysis of one of Albert Einstein's little-known papers, "On the cosmological problem of the general theory of relativity." Published in 1931, it features a forgotten model of the universe, while refuting Einstein's own earlier static model of 1917. In this paper, Einstein introduces a cosmic model in which the universe undergoes an expansion followed by a contraction. This interpretation contrasts with the monotonically expanding universe of the widely known Einstein-de Sitter model of 1932.

A Little Science ... A Little Math

New Geometric Solids

In metaphysics we study sacred geometry - Platonic solids. Here comes something new which may be of significance to your theories about creation as a mathematical construct.

After 400 Years, Mathematicians Find a New Class of Solid Shapes   Live Science - February 19, 2014
The work of the Greek polymath Plato has kept millions of people busy for millennia. A few among them have been mathematicians who have obsessed about Platonic solids, a class of geometric forms that are highly regular and are commonly found in nature. Since Plato's work, two other classes of equilateral convex polyhedra, as the collective of these shapes are called, have been found: Archimedean solids (including truncated icosahedron) and Kepler solids (including rhombic polyhedra). Nearly 400 years after the last class was described, researchers claim that they may have now invented a new, fourth class, which they call Goldberg polyhedra. Also, they believe that their rules show that an infinite number of such classes could exist.

Thanks for the Memories ...
But What Do They Mean?

In my wake-up dream Wednesday morning, someone was telling me that end time scenarios are being run to make sure the program closes properly. I was not impressed. I could see endless projections that materialized so quickly I couldn't capture them. They had no direction ... emerging into my visual field simultaneously ... then pull back and away.

Was I supposed to remember something? Maybe I did ... and maybe I didn't. I hate feeling dumb ... or should I say unaware. There are things in life we are not programmed to remember, but this is something I feel I should know, and yet it is vague as the imagery. Bummer!

I really can't wait to get to a place where I understand things at a higher level. I know ... I know ... it can't happen in physical reality. Waiting is boring and redundant especially when you know something is coming though you don't have the details. Tick tock ...

The cause: Magnetic fields in the interplanetary medium have tipped south, opening a crack in Earth's defenses against the solar wind. Because of its location on the sun's western limb, the eruption did not send a CME toward Earth. However, there was an effect on our planet: Shortwave radio loudspeakers roared with static, an event called a Type II radio burst. Here's how it works: The explosion sent shock waves rippling through the sun's atmosphere. Those shock waves, in turn, triggered plasma instabilities in the solar corona that emit strong radio emissions. The static-y "roar" of the explosion was picked up by solar observatories and ham radio stations across the dayside of our planet. Based on the sweep of radio frequencies from 20 MHz to 500 MHz, analysts estimate a shock velocity of 776 km/s or 1.7 million mph. That may sound fast, but it is typical for this type of eruption. - Spaceweather.com

The Sun takes us to Sun Gods, Aliens, and Egyptian Adventures

For millennia people have quested for the secrets of the Great Pyramid. Is the pyramid linked to science, math, time travel, aliens, Atlantis, creation, other? Is it an exit and entrance point of the simulation? Does it have a spiritual purpose - above and below? Are there hidden chambers and secrets buried within? Is there a connection to Orion and a black hole at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy through which all things are projected into this reality? Does any of it matter at the end of the simulation? There have always been myths and theories about why the Great Pyramid exists in our reality. As I see it, there are no secrets, nothing is hidden, nor is there a Hall of Records to be found, but the energies are pretty cool - or at least they used to be. The Great Pyramid is just another insert in the hologram.

Some people are still programmed to quest for answers in the pyramid and other sacred sites. Many believe that they were part of a group who buried secrets in a past (another) life. None of that seems to matter in 2014 ... like a distant memory that is nonexistent in the hologram ... like the Great Pyramid itself ... crumbling at the end of time ... building blocks once important now destroyed. All that really seems important is understanding the hologram. It was like a milestone reading this current New York Times article Is the Universe a Simulation?.

Great Pyramid at Giza Vandalized to 'Prove' Conspiracy Theory   Live Science - February 18, 2014

Two German men who visited the Egyptian pyramids in April 2013 now face criminal charges for their attempt to prove their "alternative history" conspiracy theories through vandalism. The men, Dominique Goerlitz and Stefan Erdmann, were joined by a third German, a filmmaker who accompanied them to document their "discoveries." The men were allowed to enter the inner chambers of the Great Pyramid at Giza normally off-limits to the public and restricted to authorized archaeologists and Egyptologists. The group reportedly took several items from the pyramids, including taking samples of a cartouche (identifying inscription) of the pharaoh Khufu, also known as Cheops (4th Dynasty). Goerlitz and Erdmann, who are not archaeologists but have instead been described as "hobbyists," allegedly smuggled the artifacts out of the country in violation of strict antiquities laws, according to news reports.

The B's

It's back to basics, after my birthday -- business, blogs, and bad weather as Tuesday rolls out and we enter Pisces. BBC reported Monday -- The main system that helps determine the weather over Northern Europe and North America may be changing. The study shows that the so-called jet stream has increasingly taken a longer, meandering path. This has resulted in weather remaining the same for more prolonged periods.

"B" is for Buried .. alive.

Do you ever dream you are suffocating - buried alive in another lifetime - or maybe it happened to you in this lifetime? The dream sequence is more common than you think and usually linked to one's inability to move forward in life. In real time, it takes us to kidnappings, natural disasters, illness, or war stories. Below are 4 stories about people who were physically buried alive but escaped.

4 People Who Were Buried Alive (And How They Got Out)   Mental Floss - February 17, 2014
In the days before sophisticated medical equipment could definitely determine when someone had passed from this world to the next, many people feared being buried alive - and enacted strict post-passing procedures to ensure it didn't happen. In Buried Alive: The Terrifying History of Our Most Primal Fear, Jan Bondeson looked at some of the measures taken to guard against being buried alive, including coffins that featured a bell or flag that would warn passers-by of any movement down below. While many reported cases of burials of the living were exaggerated, Bondeson did unearth a few cases of people who went under the earth while still breathing.

Premature burial, also known as live burial, burial alive, or vivisepulture, means to be buried while still alive. Animals or humans may be buried alive accidentally or intentionally. The victim may accidentally be buried by others in the mistaken assumption that they are dead. Intentional burial may occur as a form of torture, murder, or execution; it may also occur with consent of the victim as a part of a stunt (with the intention to escape). Live burial is said to be one of the most widespread of human fears. Read more ...

Birthday Blessings

Thanks Darlene ..

After all these years, you and I are still on the same page ...

just another chapter in my life ... Chapter 71.

Darlene's Humorous Birthday Card

Last November, I taught a class - on and about the number code 11.11 at a store in Boca Raton - owned by Linda Powers who sees 11:11 all the time. Linda and I share the same birthday. She just sent me this photo and email ... Happy Birthday Linda.

Happy Birthday, dear Ellie.

I just walked my dogs and was doing chores, when I remembered it is your birthday too, went to phone and saw it is 11:11 !! Too funny. Hope you have a great day and year.

Love, Linda

From my Daughters and Grandchildren

I spent the past few days celebrating with family - and continue on this week with friends. My grandson Noah, 8, is most impressed by the fact that I share a birthday with Michael Jordan (see Ezine birthdays for today). Noah is a "numbers guy," meaning he never forgets dates, numbers, and is great with math. He definitely inherited that from me. Yesterday, he told me that I am not officially 71 until February 17 at 11:25 pm.

So how does it feel to be 71? Not much different than any other year - except that I look out over reality and see how it's folding in and how many more people "get it".

My daughter Tracy, in Gilbert Arizona, teaches gifted children. Sunday, she and I had a very long and interesting conversation about today's education system and the future of tomorrow ... should there be a future. As Tracy said ...we go along with our lives, we plan ... we continue to experience and yet we look at the world and say nothing works. Readers of this blog totally understand what's happening in the immediate and in the larger picture. And so we take what simple pleasures we can, embrace them, and move forward into the next ...

Tracy's daughter, Joie, brings her great joy with her cheerleading competitions. It's exciting when our children are involved in sports and other extracurricular activities in which they excel. It's a needed diversion from that which we call life.

Interestingly, the few clients who ventured out here for a reading this month, are all young adults, college educated, trying to find themselves. What career would you recommend for them? Among the most disillusioned group of professionals, are those who wanted to become doctors. The healing-helping part of them feels satisfied, but on the financial level, the money is never going to be what it was in the past. None of the doctors I read are happy with Obamacare.

Oh well ... It's my birthday and best not to dwell on all the things that are wrong in reality. I've planned a day with a friends ... just relaxing and enjoying ... another holiday birthday on a sunny day on planet Earth in which I celebrate with Presidents ... especially George who brought the Masonic program here to play out in its final chapter.

Life is Based on
Coded Curriculum

People are programmed to seek meaningful things in their lives and ignore that which is extraneous.

I often blog about people in their 20s who do not want to work unless their job is meaningful and makes a difference ... this feeling growing in all ages and stages of life. Young adults look at older generations who are burned out after years of working in the wrong job - often with little to show for it.

Now we take that to children and their homework. It would seem that many students do not want to do their homework unless it's meaningful to them. On some level I totally understand what they're saying. Would you want to spend hours of your day doing something that you're unable to focus on, unable to complete, and is meaningless to you? But just like the generations of the past - students must accomplish certain tasks in order to move forward in life and be considered achievers.

As an educator, currently working on curriculum development, children need to be motivated. To do homework that is meaningless to the lives they will live in the future makes no sense. I remember teaching cursive writing to my students and now it's not going to be used at all. ... DELETE.

We must look at students today to see if they have learning challenges and emotional problems, but school (knowledge) should really be based on their personal development and the needs of the future - which most of us know intuitively. Does the average teen get that reality is a simulation? Some do, some don't. The rest know that there is something greater out there than what we have experienced here in the past. Most see technology as the key.

If you had a child in high school or college - would you want them to wind up in the same career you have/had? All you can do is hope for the best - that they will find something that is meaningful and will bring them a good income. Remember that most people are not programmed for long-term success. When people tell me about the business they once owned, how much money they once made, and how it is all gone, blaming any number of people and reasons for the change, they have to realize this is all part of the game. You can blame financial loss on the economy, your divorce, relatives, unscrupulous partners, natural disasters, or anything else - but at the end of the day this was destiny. Fair? Usually not.

Each generation has always said that the younger generations are more psychically gifted. Maybe that's true and maybe that's not - and maybe it's not important at all - but we are becoming aware that meaningless tasks are not where we are supposed to be - the future not part of what we are experiencing today. The education system needs to reflect what's ahead - no matter how long we will be here. If I've learned one thing from students in recent weeks, they get that life is an experience in a simulation - which they see as an illusion. Yeah!

Saturday morning: I hope you had a great Valentine's Day. My daughter Zsia, from New Jersey, and her family came to visit yesterday. There was flowers and candy and lunch out at a local restaurant. Zsia's sons are now at an age where I could finally give them each a professional reading. It was such an amazing bonding experience for each of them and me. They didn't want to leave! To be continued ...

Another daughter comes to celebrate my birthday today ... Nikki and her family arriving for a brief stay by noon ... then heading home before the next storm later today.

I also received email from some of the friends I spent my 70th birthday with in Nashville last year. It's great to bring the past into the present. Happy birthday girls. Enjoy your weekend.

Happy Valentines!

Friday morning: Outside the snow has stopped. The sun shines brightly totally unaffected by the winter wonderland - or nightmare - many of us face today. Here in Brooklyn it's warm enough for the snow to melt though Chris the weatherman said a few more inches are expected tomorrow. Lots of flooding and much destruction across the country unfortunately. And still we muster the strength, no matter what our circumstances, and move forward into tomorrow under the light of a full moon. I wonder how many people's plans have changed due to the weather? This is President's Day Weekend and today is Valentines Day. Next week is winter break with more time off for the children. Enjoy and good luck to all the parents.

Crash !!

That's the sound of records breaking as snow blankets a large part of the United States. It's also the sounds of vehicles and people who did not heed the warnings and stay home. It would seem the previous storms so far this winter were precursors for what we're dealing with today - which as you know - is a precursor for anything in end times.

I stepped outside to take this photo. On a clear day I can see One World Trade Center in the far distance ...

The view through my living room window ... You can't see the bridge today.
I love the pink and white light. Maybe that's Z saying, "Happy Valentine's Day".
The snowflakes created the Big Dipper to the right. OK ... So I love snow.

Locally, it's so dark outside, I actually slept 11 continuous hours last night. Right now, thick snowflakes twirl in front of my window with an accumulation of about 5 inches so far. My NBC weatherman, Chris, said this will change to rain later in the day, followed by snow, followed by rain ... on into tomorrow. I'm not sure how many inches we're going to get but north of the city it's really going to be bad.

My children were planning to come to Brooklyn on Saturday, to take me out for my birthday, but that most likely is not going to happen. I remember last year - we had made the same plans for the Saturday after my birthday when I returned from Nashville. Once again, it doesn't look like a family celebration is going to happen.

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day - 2.14.14. With all this snow, some couples might be home starting their celebration early, making little Scorpio babies. :)

Today, I'll be working on the children's project I started Monday.

"Stay warm stay safe". This seems to be the mantra of many of my blogs this winter.
