The Justice System

Oscar Pistorius guilty of negligent killing, one gun charge   CNN - September 12, 2014

Oscar Pistorius found guilty of culpable homicide   BBC - September 12, 2014
South African athlete Oscar Pistorius has been found guilty of culpable homicide after the judge found he killed his girlfriend by mistake.

Focus today is on the verdict in the Oscar Pistorius trial. In a week where Ray Rice, another athlete, was seen knocking his wife unconscious, domestic violence takes the center stage. This also brings focus to other couples faced with the same abuse issues.

What we see in many athletes is rage disorder which some believe plummet them to great heights while others find it intolerable. It all goes to genetic codes, childhood experiences, and programming. Rage is the most destructive of all the emotions. It usually highlights in the teen years - and if not addressed and dealt with - will continue throughout a person's life often self-medicated.

Oscar Pistorius suffers from rage disorder and should not be set free. He can get up to 15 years in prison and deserves at least some jail time. Will the justice system prevail? Sometimes it does ... sometimes it doesn't. Doesn't it seem odd to you that in this day of technology we do not have a way of simply proving the guilt or innocence of someone? Then again there is the issue of how we each see the violent action for what it really is.

Big solar storm heading toward Earth   CNN - September 12, 2014
This is not your usual weather forecast. Big storms are brewing. Your umbrella won't help, but you might want to keep a flashlight handy. These storms are coming from the sun. It's raining down a huge amount of radiation. We're safe, but it could affect power grids, radios and satellites. Experts say the combined energy from two recent solar events will arrive at Earth on Saturday, prompting the Space Weather Prediction Center to issue a strong geomagnetic storm watch.

Coronal Mass Ejections - CMEs in the Grids

If a CME hit Earth it would look like this clip from the 2009 film Knowing with Nicolas Cage.

The children remind me of Sarah and Alexander . I love the alien light beings and UFOs.

The solar storm of 1859, also known as the Carrington Event, was a powerful geomagnetic solar storm in 1859 during solar cycle 10. A solar coronal mass ejection hit Earth's magnetosphere and induced one of the largest geomagnetic storms on record. The associated "white light flare" in the solar photosphere was observed and recorded by English astronomers Richard C. Carrington and Richard Hodgson. Studies have shown that a solar storm of this magnitude occurring today would likely cause widespread problems for modern civilization. There is an estimated 12% chance of a similar event occurring between 2012 and 2022.
