Angelina Jolie

Angelina Joie has always been about healing and children - the emotions or wounded soul experience. Many follow her decisions as if her life was playing out as a guide on "how to deal with issues and create healing". She has overcome many obstacles both emotionally and physically - without preaching - just living life. Today she continues to teach women that prevention is most important in saving lives. The only thing that surprises me about this procedure is that it wasn't a full hysterectomy as uterine cancer is also on the increase.

Angelina Jolie Pitt: Diary of a Surgery   New York Times - March 24, 2015
Two years ago I wrote about my choice to have a preventive double mastectomy. A simple blood test had revealed that I carried a mutation in the BRCA1 gene. It gave me an estimated 87 percent risk of breast cancer and a 50 percent risk of ovarian cancer. I lost my mother, grandmother and aunt to cancer. I wanted other women at risk to know about the options. I promised to follow up with any information that could be useful, including about my next preventive surgery, the removal of my ovaries and fallopian tubes.

Two years after she underwent a double mastectomy to cut her cancer risk, actress and U.S. envoy Angelina Jolie has had surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes for the same reason.

Angie has been a major advocate of human and women's right, traveling the world for the UN. It's the plight of the children that always gets to her. As global chaos accelerates, you have to wonder what her true perspectives are today on the way things are playing out.

No matter what crazy things take control of our lives and destinies - we are always hopeful the next generation will do better than we did, achieve more, find greater happiness and better ways to overcome obstacles, and make more informed decisions. This pattern is found in every facet of reality: politics, economic, society, health, education, other. What happens to the endless children caught up in end time dramas who exist from day to day? Will they be expected to do more in the future or wonder if a future exists for them at all? The human experiment has taken many directions since its inception, but always follows the same patterns of destruction. Luckily there are moments of love and beauty as one generation moves to the next.
