Countdown to the
Iowa Caucuses

Today brings a new month and new energies highlighted this week with the Iowa caucuses tonight. The US presidential election has become a game over recent months as to who is going to win, who will come in second, what the issues are, and you know the rest. The move towards Trump and Sanders is like a second American Revolution taking us away from systems that do not work, yet does not mean new ones will. It feels like we're one of those countries fighting for freedom and independence because in truth we are not as free as many believe. If you think none of the candidates can fix the issues you're right ... but if you want to step up and play ... choose your candidate and vote ... if you live in Ohio and by next week New Hampshire. This is still the best reality show in town because it not only affects the players but the rest of the world. Tick tock.

National Freedom Day

National Freedom Day honors the signing by Abraham Lincoln of a Congressional resolution that later became the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Today is the start of Black History month. On this day the google doodle honors Frederick Douglass born in February 1818 - an African-American social reformer, abolitionist, orator, writer, and statesman. After escaping from slavery, he became a leader of the abolitionist movement, gaining note for his dazzling oratory and incisive antislavery writings.
