Presidential Debate

It's 33 days to the election ... consider... just 33 more days of campaigning. Also consider 33 is a Masonic number often linked to the US political system - not that any of that matters anymore. I used to refer to this reality as the Masonic Program as it all derives from the same algorithm. If you are drawn to the 33 degrees of the Freemasons - here is what Wikipedia has to say - Scottish Rite. These guys still exist and proudly wear their signature rings. It's interesting that the men I know who are 33 degree masons all are very wealthy - a curious facet to the game. Initial List of 33rd Degree Masons -- How Many Presidents were Freemasons?

For those who love and follow politics ... the stage is set for tonight ... the first presidential debate of 3 ... a showdown in Denver between President Obama and his Republican challenger Mitt Romney. There's a lot on the line right now ... so let the games begin. Are you planning to watch the debates? I prefer the commentaries afterwards, yet still believe neither candidate can fix things. Romney seeks a new look while - Obama tries to avoid that incumbent trap of appearing too arrogant or under-prepared. We all know that Obama is a dynamic speaker - it's his strength - while Romney tends to put his foot in his mouth and often says the wrong thing.

American voters have pretty much made their choice, and will listen to the debates to finalize their decisions. It's interesting that people actually believe this election matters - and that the president really shapes the destiny of our lives. As you know, this race is very close with the election in Mercury Retrograde - shades of Bush vs. Gore in 2000. I've spoken to voters who believe Obama failed so why not give Romney a chance. Whatever!

Voters' choices based on performance, not policy   PhysOrg - October 3, 2012

Voters in U.S. presidential races make choices based on a candidate's performance rather than on his or her policy positions - even when those stances run counter to the voters' own, according to a new book by a University of California, Berkeley, political scientist.

Making Plans

Last month my daughter, Zsia, offered me a timeshare to anywhere in the US as a 70th birthday present. The questions was ... when and where to go. The best time to travel for me is always the Fall or Spring based on the weather. Next Spring begs the question, "Will the program still be running in 2013?" I asked Z to guide the decision and so he did.

Monday, I read a woman named Karen who was visiting here from Laguna Beach, CA. I mentioned the timeshare ... and the thought came to us ... why not visit Laguna Beach or nearby Newport Beach this fall. Everything about this felt right so I emailed Zsia about timeshares ... and there it was ... a villa at Marriott's Newport Coast Villas overlooking the water ... on the week I was guided to travel ... November 30 (Friday evening) - December 7 (Friday morning). This experience creates the same stirrings I get when Z sets everything up with a special agenda for the two of us.

I would love to give a three-hour class on one of the days I am there either at the villa or perhaps in San Diego. If you are interesting in helping set things up, please let me know. The topic: You decide as I can talk about anything and would be open to suggestions or maybe just Q & A. All classes end with a powerful meditation.

Talk about the Earth having strange weather patterns ...

The temperature on Mars may reach a high of about 70 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius) at noon, at the equator in the summer, or a low of about -225 degrees Fahrenheit (-153 degrees Celsius) at the poles   NASA

Weather On Mars Surprisingly Warm, Rover Finds   Discovery - October 2, 2012
Curiosity's onboard weather station, which is called the Remote Environment Monitoring Station (REMS), has measured air temperatures as high as 43 degrees Fahrenheit (6 degrees Celsius) in the afternoon. And temperatures have climbed above freezing during more than half of the Martian days, or sols, since REMS was turned on, scientists said.

Strange layer of hellishly hot Venus is surprisingly cold   MSNBC - October 2, 2012
Venus may be closer to the sun than Earth, but its typically hellish atmosphere has a surprisingly cold layer that's chillier than any part of our own planet's atmosphere, a new study reveals. This region may be cool enough for carbon dioxide snow or ice to form, according to new observations from Europe's Venus Express satellite. This is surprising for a planet with normally oven-hot temperatures, scientists say.
