More than 150 cracks have been repaired, rainwater leaks have been sealed, and the 130-year-old Washington Monument will reopen Monday for the first time in nearly three years since an earthquake caused widespread damage.

Mother's Day 2014 - The Perfect Present


My new plant ...


For years I have searched for the perfect "lipstick plant" (Aeschynanthus) ... and there it was on Mother's Day ... the only one in the plant nursery ... in the far left corner as if once again Z put it away for me. The second photo shows what it will look like after it flowers, though strangely no one can ever tell you when it will flower. It just has a mind of its own. I guess it came to the right house.
