The storms coming to the city tomorrow are said to be like a nor'easter but they're nothing compared to what's going on in the White House. I watched Lester Holt's interview with Donald Trump yesterday afternoon. Not impressed. While insisting there was no collusion between his campaign and the Russians and supports a full investigation into alleged Russian meddling in last year's presidential election. What else did you expect him to say. Trump also told Leste that the former FBI director requested dinner to retain his job. But at least one current and one former FBI official close to Comey dispute that account. "The president is not correct," the former official said. "The White House called him out of the blue. Comey didn't want to do it." But in the end, "He's still the commander in chief. He's your boss. How do you say no?"

Since the US presidential campaign began for Trump in June 2015, I've become a big Stephen Colbert fan - recording his shows and watching them the next morning. Go Stephen!
