Traveling to be with those we care about on Christmas stirs the soul and opens the heart. For some it is about reunions, for others just getting away as if an adventures often planned months in advanced. The shopping is done and last minute things are coming into play as 2017 comes to a close. We will all remember this year with its trials and tribulations. Next year we awaken to a different world filled with hopes, dreams, and the full gamut of emotions we came here to embrace.
Traveling this holiday season is not easy. In a way it mirrors your experiences here and shows you how well you deal with frustrations along the way. Most of us are glad we have tech to help out. It's our apps that guide and allow us to stay in touch with the outside world. Did you ever wonder how people got along without them? If you feel you should be somewhere, you should go. Whatever calls. Pay attention to your inner voice and to Siri (or the like) as your GPS tech voice.
John invited me to spend Christmas in Florida with him, but there's too much chaos at the airports, highlighted in Atlanta at the world's biggest airport so far. I've enjoyed Hanukkah adventures as I like to get out and play and will go to Connecticut on Saturday. If only we could teleport to our destinations and back. Wrong timeline...
