Ellie, Sherry and the Time Traveling Phone Booth

My friend Sherry and I enjoyed our annual reunion this afternoon in Staten Island, after she drove in from NJ and I crossed the Verrazano Bridge. We didn't talk politics, just family and other things in our lives as we swiped through our phone pics and never stopped laughing. I'm not sure I'll ever grow up and take reality seriously. We also met a party of 5 teachers at a table nearby making an instant connection ... laughing and joking with them. Teachers are cool. Until next year ... though Sherry and her husband have a home in AZ and are moving soon to be near family there. If not for family ... guess where they would have wound up? That's right ... the east coast of Florida with most people I know. Alas I am alone in Brooklyn by the bridge ... and loving it. Am I waiting for something? Aren't you?

Phone booths are sometimes time travel devices.

Trapped alone in physical reality ... Ellie opened the door and poof ...

The last one out ...
