BZ

The first interstellar immigrant to our solar system has been spotted
Daily Mail - May 21, 2018

Many years ago I asked Z ... aka Zoroaster ... if his name had a connection to unique asteroids found at the end of the simulation? The answer was Yes. Aster comes from an ancient Greek word meaning Star.

Permanent interstellar visitor found - an asteroid in Jupiter's orbit may have come from outside our Solar System Unlike Oumuamua, the interstellar object which briefly visited the Solar System earlier this year, asteroid 2015 BZ509 (affectionately known as BZ) seems to have been here for 4.5 billion years. This makes it the first known interstellar asteroid to have taken up residence orbiting the Sun. It is not yet known where the object came from.

Sports

Hockey: The Vegas Golden Knights reached the Stanley Cup Finals, becoming the first expansion team in the four major U.S. professional sports leagues since the 1960s to reach the championship round in its inaugural season.

Horse Racing: You know about a horse named Justify who won both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness on his way to the triple crown in horse racing.

Billboard Music Awards

The Billboard Music Awards Sunday night featured political statements, amazing performances by some of our favorite artists, and so much more. I loved Jennifer Lopez and Janet Jackson though I still haven't watched the full recording of the show.

Nigerian Art

Nigeria's art traditions go back thousands of years, but for decades, contemporary artists there have felt more appreciated abroad than at home. Now, as the economy has grown in Nigeria, the demand for art is growing, along with the number of galleries and auction houses. More artists are making a living at home and taking on themes such as corruption, national politics and gender relations.

Santa Fe, Texas High School Shooting

It's become an all-too-familiar predictable scenario and one that's always hard to watch and report on, especially from my perspective. A teenage gunman at a high school killed 10 people and wounded 13 in the Santa Fe, Texas High School Shooting. The community began to bury the dead and search for answers about the motivation of the killer. Thoughts and prayers were offered at the Billboard Music Awards Sunday night. In Santa Fe, there was no outcry against firearms, unlike in Parkland, Fla.

"It's not the guns; it's the people," said one Santa Fe High junior. He got right.

Giovanni

My grandson Giovanni graduates from High School in AZ this week. As with each of my grandchildren, I bought him a computer of choice fully loaded to inspire that which he seeks to accomplish. He'll be going to college to get a degree in cyber security, an excellent major in today's world where Cybercrime is among the fastest-growing and most lucrative industries, forcing banks to turn to military tools and techniques to fight it. He's a very sweet kid growing up in the world of geeky kids having great grades, lots of friends, and much love from family. With all the high school shootings, there's the part of him he got from grandma that allows him to know he's protected. When he was a little boy and learned about Z, he thought I was some sort of magician. He got himself a magic kit and proceeded to change the world.

Giovanni is also an artist. He calls this "Dawn of a New Beginning Arises"

Flowers

Flowers: This weekend in England featured favorite flowers from Harry, Megan, and Diana, at the royal wedding. More flowers in England ... Temperate House, the largest Victorian greenhouse in the world, recently reopened at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew, southwest London. It just had a multiyear renovation that cost 41 million pounds (about $55 million). The greenhouse was designed by Decimus Burton and opened in 1863. It houses roughly 10,000 plants, including some of the rarest and most threatened, from temperate regions of Africa, the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region.
