The 87th Oscars was another star-studded event honoring the talents of some of the greatest stars in show business - some still performing - and others who have crossed over. The fashions, accessories, hairstyles, and more are always worth watching. And then there's the amazing Neil Patrick Harris who never fails to deliver even when he comes on stage in his underwear. Yes, we will remember that Oscar moment. Speaking of things remembered ... Idina Menzel (from Queens, NY) and John Travolta were humorous reflecting on John's mispronunciation of Idina's name last year year - this year having fun then presenting an award.
I grew up in a world filled with Broadway shows, films and though not a performer, enjoyed my dance and music lessons, and going to the theater. One of the best parts of growing in NYC is the future and how it inspires you. Last night, Lady Gaga surprised me with her wide range of musical talent while performing songs from "The Sound of Music" - taking me back to the time I saw the show on Broadway - not once but three times. Last night, Lady Gaga performed then introduced another legend Julie Andrews, 79.
This Wednesday, I return to Broadway to see Beautiful - the story of the life of Carole King a Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, Jewish, from Brooklyn, 73, and a curly haired fellow Aquarian. Watching her current performances reminds me that any age you can look good, feel good, and create. The cast album won the 2015 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album on February 8, 2015. Another Jewish female sensation born in Brooklyn three-month after Carole King is Barbra Streisand who I also saw on Broadway back in the day and hope to see again in the future.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
