Friday Memos

My friend Karen lives in Brooklyn Heights where Hillary Clinton has set up her offices and will announce her run for Presidency on Sunday. Should I volunteer? Karen and I were supposed to visit Karen's lake house today in northern NJ but the crazy weather has postponed the trip. I'm sure you've read about the tornadoes, hailstones as large as oranges, and other extreme weather conditions across the nation. It's all part of something that I connect with collapsing grids which takes us to ....

Clients are having strange (parallel) experiences. It is thought that the collapsing grids allow realities to merge with many examples in recent news articles. One of my clients had an unexplained experience that could fall into this category. Before he came to see me, he put on a jacket he hadn't worn since last fall. He reached into the pocket and found the business card for a real estate company that one would assume exists in Manhattan based on the 212 area code on the card. The name on the card belonged to a friend of his who had died a few years ago and had never worked in real estate. He called the 212 number but it was another business. No one at that number had ever heard of his friend. And yet, there it was - a very professionally done card - with information that never existed - at least, not in this reality. Stories of this type are definitely on the increase. It has to do with the collapse of time which takes us to ...

Apple's smart watch is on sale for those who like gadgets. The news reported some of the perks of having the watch which, as you and I know, will quickly evolve into a better device in "time." I have the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

Let's go to tech and social media which will be the downfall for some and salvation for others. This week on "The Good Wife" and "Person of Interest", they showed the disastrous effects when your life goes viral after the release of emails dating back not just days and weeks, but months and years. Be careful, especially with sexting.

Sexting and cheating can lead to divorce. We often ask, "Can you afford marriage?" How about, "Can you afford divorce?"

Last but not least, on the matter of destruction ... tax day is next Wednesday. Have you paid your taxes?

The life-size bronze statue in Celoron, New York, has been likened to Conway Twitty, the snake from "Beetlejuice" and actor Steve Buscemi, among other unflattering comparisons. Even Mayor Scott Schrecengost has gone on record saying he does not care for the statue, which shows the comic star holding a bottle of fictional nutrition elixir Vitameatavegamin.
