When divers discovered circular columns and paved floors, they thought they had found the ruins of a long-forgotten civilization on the shores of the Greek island Zakynthos. But what was once thought to be an ancient underwater "lost city" is actually a naturally occurring phenomenon, scientists have found. Lead author of the research, Professor Julian Andrews, from the University of East Anglia's School of Environmental Sciences, told CNN: "The suggestion that they were archaeological remains was brought about by tourists who were swimming around and saw these things and thought they were stone work." Greek authorities investigated the site, however they found no supporting evidence that this was an ancient city port that was lost to the sea.
Speaking of Ancient Aliens - today thru Monday - they hold their 4th annual conference as thousands of UFO enthusiasts congregate at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center - Contact in the Desert. A client named Christal is at the conference and will send pics to post. If it wasn't such a big trip from Brooklyn - and so incredibly hot in the desert (over 100+°) without air-conditioning except for motels - I would have considered attending as I would like to meet many of the speakers again. Then there's Alien Con in late October in Santa Clara CA... Why do I feel past all of this?
