Most people enjoy celebrating and acknowledging the talents of others. Festivals are the key, from films to music to more. Summertime brings people together which means live concerts by some very talented people - some large events - others small - often in some very hot and humid places. It all wraps at Burning Man on Labor Day. Recently Lady Gaga performed here in Central Park. Watching shows like American Idol, and living in New York City, where I get to read aspiring performers, you would be amazed how much talent is out there waiting for that lucky break. With current technology they get to showcase their talent if only on YouTube. Bonnaroo features an eclectic brand of genres and reminds me of Woodstock back in the day. Check it out. There's live webcasts tonight starting at 6pm EDT.
I love this music .... then again I love all music!
The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is an annual four day music festival created and produced by Superfly Productions and AC Entertainment, held at Great Stage Park on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee, and will host its tenth annual event June 9-12, 2011. The main attractions of the festival are the multiple stages of live music, featuring a diverse array of musical styles including indie rock, world music, hip hop, jazz, americana, bluegrass, country music, folk, gospel, reggae, electronica, and other alternative music. The festival began with a primary focus on jam bands, but has diversified greatly in recent years. Past notable acts include Neil Young, Pearl Jam, Phish, Tool, Radiohead, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z, Dave Matthews Band, The Dead, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Kanye West, The Flaming Lips, Widespread Panic, Nine Inch Nails, The White Stripes, and My Morning Jacket. The festival features craftsmen and artisans selling unique products, food and drink vendors, a comedy tent, silent disco, cinema tent, and ferris wheel. The festival was named one of the 50 moments that changed the history of rock and roll. Sponsors of the festival are required to provide free activities for attendees.
Full Moon Lunar Eclipse 24° Sagittarius
Very long total lunar eclipse coming Wednesday MSNBC - June 11, 2011
Next time there will be one this exceptional is in seven years.
Total lunar eclipse next week, not visible in US AP - June 11, 2011
My suggestion for Part 2 of the eclipse cycle is to sit back and let it affect you as is meant. Go with the flow. Don't force anything. Check google for astrological websites but they all say the same old ... same old ... out with the old and in with the new. The cycle rolled in like a tsunami on June 1. Along comes the second wave June 15, followed by the major wave on July 1. This will dredge up everything for resolution if it hasn't already. Look at Anthony Weiner! (I think we all have ... haven't we?) These energies continue at least through the next eclipse cycle 6 month from now.
