Tax Day !

April 17, 2012

Today is US Income Tax Day, but you know that.

The weather is almost as surreal as a simulation with record highs and lows - totally confusing the forces of nature. Overnight the trees in the park outside bloomed, yet something feels off. Monday was hot and humid in the city, with temperatures in the 80's. Let's see what comes next.

The city is buzzing with the Tribeca Film Festival starting tomorrow. Do you find that the things that used to excite you in the past, have changed, as if they have had their day, and now lack something - sort of like a relationship that is played out, but you cling to it if there is nothing better going on?

Speaking of relationships - it's spring and the quest to date and mate is on full swing. Some people are causal about sex, while others tell me they hope to find "The One." Good luck with all of it! The next episode in your life is about to begin, so sit back and watch it unfold.

Eureka ... It's a Simulation

Monday night on the Syfy Channel - Eureka returned for its 5th and final season. And what was the episode about? The world's greatest scientists are stuck in a simulation, just as we are. The simulation room featured blue lighting, with the main cast in simulation chambers set in a circle (very close to the truth). Syfy usually repeats their shows, so you can probably catch it when it airs again or perhaps on the Syfy channel website. Did Ellie figure out it was simulation? Yup! Who do you think is going to figure out the truth? My vote is for Zane.

Check out this CME on the Spaceweather website today.

Luckily it wasn't headed towards Earth as in Knowing.

Magnetic fields on the sun's northeastern limb erupted around 17:45 UT on

April 16th, producing one of the most visually-spectacular explosions in years.
