Wayne Dyer Dies

May 10, 1940 - August 29, 2015

Many people in metaphysics focus on healing and self help - the most noted Wayne Dyer who made a fortune educating people on how to heal. I have read and met people who sought success in this field, but no one even comes close to Dyer. Today people still espouse theories of their own creation through social media, books, videos, YouTube, and more. The pattern is to help others by healing themselves and creating a system to make money along the way. I never heard Wayne Dyer speak, as I was never into self help, but he inspired thousands who told me about attended his workshops and working with his products.

Wayne Dyer, self-help guru and motivational speaker, dies of cancer at 75   CNN - August 31, 2015
Dyer was a psychotherapist and a professor before helming his own self-help empire, but perhaps the most important credential one can have when being in the business of inspiring people and instructing how to pick one's self up by their bootstraps and to achieve is to have done just that themselves. The story of Wayne Walter Dyer was classic Dickensian. Born in Detroit in 1940, Dyer grew up an orphan, an experience that molded a self-reliance as well as an aversion to self-pity. Dyer espoused his philosophy throughout the more than 30 self-help books generally centered around the notion that one has to has to think positive, happy beliefs in order to live a positive, happy life. He stayed busy until the very end, doling out pithy nuggets of wisdom to his Twitter followers ('chasing success is like trying to squeeze a handful of water. The tighter you squeeze, the less water you get.') and maintaining a hectic speaking schedule. Dye married three times and had eight children.
